Dr. Evelyn Lugo Morales recently retired as a full professor from Universidad Ana G. Mendez University in Carolina. For many years she was the English Coordinator. She taught General Education and Education TESL courses as well as graduate courses in Curriculum and Teaching in English. Dr. Lugo has several publications in the field of teaching English as a second language and has carried out various research and pilot projects with her colleagues. Her most recent publication with Dr. José Morales Sousa is titled Exploring the Impact of an Online Lab in a Web Enhanced Modality ESL Course.
Dr Evelyn Lugo Morales has been a Delta Chapter member since 1988. She has been state president in various biennium 2005-2007, 2007- 2009, 2017-2019. She has been reelected as state President for the 2019/20121 Biennium. The organization in Puerto Rico has embraced various projects, being the most important one, the Post Maria Recovery Projects for our schools. As President of Delta Kappa Gamma Puerto Rico, she focused on promoting professional and personal growth for members in Puerto Rico.
Dr. Lugo is honored to be a graduate from University of Puerto Rico with a doctorate degree in Education in Curriculum and Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL). As an educator, she has been an advocate on the inclusion of blended learning into the English teaching- learning process. Her quest has been to lead students to take a central role in their learning process through authentic language learning environments.
